What began as a simple job opportunity became years of hard work, learning, and growth, helping me shape my business and life around what matters most.

It was a point in my life where I wasn’t exactly sure what was next. Coming home from college and needing direction, I returned to my hometown, Siren, and became a proofreader for the local paper. It was there that I came across a listing for a real estate office assistant. The ad hadn’t even run yet, but on a whim, I picked up the phone and called. That one call ended up changing everything.
For the next three years, I worked behind the scenes handling closings, managing paperwork, and learning how real estate actually worked. Then my broker suggested I get licensed. I had so much background knowledge going into it, so the transition was smooth. Real estate was everything I had wanted: I was making a real impact, connecting with people, and challenging myself every day.
But starting out in the town I grew up in wasn’t easy. Everyone knew me—or remembered me as a kid. I was young, looked even younger, and felt like I had to prove myself to be taken seriously. So, I worked constantly. Nights, weekends, holidays—I said “Yes” to everything. I built my reputation through consistency and effort. I take pride in being the calm in the chaos, the one people could count on to get things done.

Eventually, I realized I was wearing myself thin. Life had a way of forcing me to slow down and rethink what I was doing—and why.
For a period of time, I was a single mom, trying to raise my son while keeping my business going. I had to get intentional. I worked longer hours when he was with his dad, and when he was with me, I made sure he had my full attention. It taught me how to set real boundaries while still staying true to the level of service my clients know and love.

Later, when my stepdad became seriously ill, I was juggling work while sitting at his bedside. He was someone I could always count on and trust, and he played a big role in shaping how I show up for others now. As I balanced work with parenting and being there for him, it made me stop and think: What am I building, and who am I building it for? I realized I needed to find balance and work with clients who respected my time as much as I respected theirs. My business should be client-focused, but it should also allow me to take time with family.
That’s when everything shifted. I became more intentional with my time. I focused on being fully present, whether with my family or my clients. I still work hard and am highly available, but with more clarity and purpose. My clients trust me because I show up prepared and fully invested in their journey.
That shift in perspective eventually led me to open an office space here in Siren under Keller Williams. I had just come through neck surgery and knew it was time to make some bigger changes. I wanted more say in how I ran my business and the level of service I provided, without the layers of corporate red tape. After pouring so much into this career, I’ve reached a point where I know the value I bring, and I know the right clients will recognize and appreciate that. For me, it’s about building real, lasting relationships with the people I work with.
In 2018, I got remarried and now have a blended family with three sons and a daughter. We enjoy family dinners, football games, being outdoors, and spending time with our two dogs and two cats.
Looking back, the early years of my career taught me how to work hard. But the more challenging times taught me how to slow down and live with intention. Now I’m doing work I care about, with people I care about, and living a life that is fulfilling and true to what matters most.
There’s a reason I’ve been in real estate this long—I genuinely love what I do! I enjoy walking with people through big decisions, helping them navigate the unknowns, and making the process feel manageable and clear. Every client, every home, and every situation is different, and I like the challenge of putting the pieces together in a way that feels right for each person. I’ve built my business on trust, communication, and consistency, and I treat every client like a friend.
Whether you’re buying, selling, relocating, or searching for a second home, I take the time to help you understand not just the properties, but the area itself. With nearly 20 years of experience and deep local knowledge, I can give you insight into what each lake and community offers, and how that fits your lifestyle. I also connect clients with reliable local contacts from dock services to tradespeople, so you are always supported and have someone you can trust. My goal isn’t just to get you to the closing table; it’s to support you on your homeownership journey from beginning to end, and long after!
Sincerely,

Trish Needham-Barnes
